Our Story

Over a million young people across the country need extra support to make the most of their time in school because of the social barriers they encounter. What we have experienced and been told by teaching staff is that most schools just aren’t equipped to help them fully. Making changes to the layout of a classroom is important but isn't enough on its own. Real inclusion means changing how we think about disability. That’s why we built Inclusion Portal. We are creating a one stop hub for disabled children, non-disabled children, teachers, parents, and communities to learn, share, and create schools where every child and young person feels seen, supported, and ready to shine.

Frustrated by “quick fixes” and "tick box exercises" that miss the bigger picture, we dream of a world where disability isn’t a barrier, it’s just part of life. So we’re here to shake things up. No jargon, no checklists. Just practical tools, insightful stories, and a community that believes inclusion starts with understanding. Together, let’s rewrite the rules so every young person, disabled or not, grows up knowing they belong.

a bit about me

With over a decade of experience dedicated to empowering disabled young people, I am a staunch advocate for equality. Young people really do have the power to change the world! Through working with schools, young people and their families, my work has centered around ensuring that they have access to the support they need to thrive. When I’m not championing this, you can find me in quiet places maybe with a book and ideally in the sunshine.

a bit about me

Passionate about making social change and adrenaline sports in equal measure! For the last 15 years I have been working in the disability sector across programmes that give disabled people the skills to live the life they want to. When I'm not doing that, you can find me wakeboarding behind a boat!
